Yesterday, I woke up early to wait for Mark (who was on his way home to Tacloban already). Did this (doodle above) first thing when I got out of bed. Didn’t get to finish it though because 10 minutes into this, the boyfriend knocked on the door. Ang saya saya ko naman. He showed me this Doraemon toy (and sharpener which he brought all the way from Cebu) and started conversing with it — one of his many weird attributes that I missed. He also surprised me with this:

Technically, it wasn’t a surprise because he couldn’t help but tell me the day before he came home — “Oy, alam mo ba binilhan kita ng necklace from Forever 21. Owl tsaka silver sya” — seriously? But I’m still glad he bought me this because it’s small and simple and something I can wear everyday. He knows how much I like owls and Forever 21 so he really made the effort to go there (more than 5 times since December, I think) and browse as I told him to because I can’t. He’s gay so it’s okay with him. So anyway, after a couple of hugs, catch up conversations and a meal together, I told him to rest so I can go out and prove my friends who were tweeting that I am no longer available wrong. I also wanted to talk to Monique, just because.
I felt like having cookies and cream so I told Monique to meet me at Libro and then I remembered that I forgot my umbrella there the other night so it was perfect. I went there around 3 PM and waited for about an hour. Thank goodness she came just when I started feeling uncomfortable with my ex-boyfriend’s girlfriend staring at me. We talked, and talked, and talked — c’mon I had coffee and I was happy — and talked, and talked, and talked so much that Monique was surprised. Did I scare you, love? Come, let’s just wave to our friends who were not able to make it. In between our random conversations, Jolo came! Marya also joined us later that afternoon/evening. She brought her camera so all photos below here are stolen from her, heehee.

I spent about 20 minutes (or more) trying to take photos of my necklace. Most of you might know how much passion I had for photography back then but believe me when I say I struggle with dSLR cameras. Thank you, Marya, for letting me struggle with yours.

Jolo and Monique. That’s two beautiful people right there.

Monique, in her world. She loves books. Whenever I feel like reading, she’s the number one person I contact to borrow books from. As she was browsing the shelves last night, she saw other A Series of Unfortunate Events books and felt sappy (sad and happy at the same time, lol kill me) that bittersweet feeling (which I felt too because I wished I had enough money to buy her at least one).

There’s Jolo (above photos). He likes books too, I think. He bought one for himself while Monique and I were chatting. Monique also told me his father was a writer so I guess he reads a lot. Aren’t they perfect together?

Marya, with the nice long legs. I’ve known her since second third year high school and pretty much watched her grow up into this beautiful, intelligent person. I wish her well.

We’re taking over Libro. Mwahaha!

Hi! That is me. I didn’t notice I had a huge pimple until I saw the photos, haha!

I’ve been craving for a cupcake the whole afternoon. Hindi ko na nakaya later that evening so I emptied my domain savings pocket and asked 6 pesos from Monique and bought one — I bought the red velvet cupcake because it (had a heart on top and) was prettier than the triple chocolate (even though it looked yummier).

So commercial, haha! But I loved it!

“Ha! Now you will never get my cuppy cake!” Gluttony. Did you notice I didn’t even share a slice/bite?

So many memories in that chair and now I add last night’s. Excuse my huge chicken thighs.

Thank you, Jolo, for taking these photos. We didn’t even notice you were buying a book already. *wink*

Awkward threesome lesbo corn. See Jolo who’s swift as a coursing river? I think he was already sneaking the book (he secretly bought for Monique) there as we were busy camwhoring.

Our lovely night ended around 9 PM, I wish it never did — it was Friday pa naman. We walked to the nearest street where PUJs pass and as we were walking, Jolo surprised Monique with the ASOUE book two! Aww! And then we went home.
Last thing I did last night was cry over Glee and then I fell asleep. One of the best days of January indeed.
